1983-1987 Resident in Plastic Surgery. Department of Plastic Surgery - Microsurgery and Burn unit, General State Hospital of Athens “G. Gennimatas”
During my training I received clinical and surgical experience in several fields of Plastic Surgery including burns, head and neck, peripheral nerve surgery, acute hand trauma, lower extremity reconstruction and aesthetic surgery.

1981-1983 Resident in General surgery department of 7th Hospital IKA Athens Greece ,

1971-1978 I graduated in 1978 by the university of Bologna Italy ,Faculty of Medicine

My areas of special interest include aesthetic surgery, face lift and facial sculpting, breast surgery, reconstruction of post-bariatric problems, fillers and especially primary and secondary rhinoplasty. Having perform more than 3.000 rhinoplasty procedures and having the respect and consideration of patients and colleagues in that special field of Plastic Surgery.

PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECTS
1993-1994 Participated in European project COMETT N 3157/cb with the ultimate objective of producing a tool-kit on interactive CD-ROM relative to burn problems

PUBLICATIONS
Dr. V. Michalopoulos has participated and presented more than 50 scientific-clinical presentations in national and international meetings and has published more than 100 articles in national and international prestigious journals of Plastic surgery through his experience as a Consultant of Dept. of Plastic Surgery in the General State Hospital , Athens.
